| Lee's
Comics was established in 1982 by Lee
Hester. Lee opened his first store in an out of the way
location behind Lucky (now Albertson's) on Alma Street in Palo Alto.
For the first several years, Lee was the only employee. From those
humble beginnings, Lee's Comics has expanded to become one of the
top comic book retailers in the nation.
Through
Lee's outgoing personality and energy, he's been able to attract
some of the Comic Industry's top talent to to in-store visits, including
Alex
Ross, Paul
Dini, Brian
Michael Bendis, Grant
Morrison, Michael
Chabon, Jim
Lee, George
Perez, Jim
Steranko, and David
Mack.
For
a complete list of Lee's past signings and events, and plenty of
pictures, go to the Signings and Events page.
In
2001, our friend Alex Ross redesigned the Lee's logo to what
you see today. (There is is in the upper left hand corner of this
page.)
